Miami Party Guide

Everything you need to know to plan a Miami party vacation.

Looking for things to do in Miami? If you are planning a trip to Miami and the South Beach area here is some useful information that will hopefully help you have a better and more joyful trip.

South Beach

The most iconic area of Miami is known as “South Beach” South Beach is actually a fictitious area of Miami Beach which is considered first Street in Miami Beach to around 23rd St. Between the area of first Street and 23rd St. you will find countless boutique hotels, restaurants and the world famous Ocean Drive strip. The smaller boutique hotels tend to be in the South Beach area, the bigger hotels are in the North Beach area north of 23rd St. in Miami Beach. The art deco entertainment District of Ocean Drive spans from fifth Street to 15th St. This is where you will find access to the beach, many outdoor restaurants and bars and Lummus Park.

High season

High season is considered March to September. During these months flight and hotel prices will be higher. Restaurants, bars, clubs and beaches will be busier during this time. The month of March brings spring break which is usually the busiest month of the year. Other notable high season holiday weekends are Memorial Day weekend AKA “Urban Beach Weekend” Fourth of July weekend and Labor Day weekend. Hotel and flight prices will change significantly during holiday weekends. High season is the time we recommend to visit Miami.

Low season

Low season in Miami is considered September until the end of February. This is the time we’re airfare and hotel prices tend to be lower. Although you may be able to get a good deal on airfare and hotel stays the beaches, hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions are less crowded. During this time there are no notable holiday weekends.

Miami weather

Miami weather is awesome! Temperatures are in the 80s all year long even in December. The summer months are considered “hurricane season” but don’t let this discourage you, it rarely rains for long periods of time. Miami sees the most rain during the high season. Short thunderstorms are typical during the Summer months and sun showers are a weekly occurrence. Often times strong thunderstorms turn into a sunny sky.

Dry season in Miami spans from December to the end of March.

Which airport should we fly into?

South Florida has two major public international airports. The first being Miami international airport. Miami international airport is located approximately 7 miles from South Beach. The next airport is Hollywood Fort Lauderdale international airport. Fort Lauderdale airport is located approximately 40 minutes (traffic dependent) north of South Beach. Some airlines only fly into particular airports but Miami international airport would be a shorter trip to your hotel if you are staying in the Miami/South Beach area.

Miami nightlife

Miami nightlife has been popular since the days of scarface. In particular South Beach has been known for its posh night clubs. Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the landscape of the nightlife industry. Some clubs like Cameo Miami never re-opened after the pandemic. This plus local government efforts to restrict entertainment based businesses has affected the nightlife industry in South Beach. Some of the big clubs like LIV and its sister club Story are still operational.

South Beach “Street Promotors”

When visiting South Beach you will be approached by countless “Street promotors” selling tickets for everything including boat parties, pool parties and night club packages. We do recommend proceeding with caution. Most of the time these are scams and these street promotors will have no company uniform or credentials to prove what they are selling is legitimate. They will also ask for cash “deposits” most of the time when you show up to the event the price will be different from what you were told.

As a legitimate business In order for us to use our payment processor we must provide documentation such as our legal business name and tax identification documents. When you place a reservation on our website you will receive a receipt for your credit card/debit card transaction. We always recommend dealing with a legitimate company to ensure you will receive what you paid for. We do not recommend purchasing tickets from anyone off of the streets in South Beach for any event.
